Collecting International Data: Husén and the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement
摘要
Chapter 3 , Collecting International Data: Husén and the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement, discusses Husén’s role in the rise of international large-scale assessments. Focusing on IEA, the organization that Husén chaired for 17 years, the chapter discusses how the production of international data relied on ongoing negotiations about how the organization should be governed. Questions such as electing a chairman, relocating headquarters, and data processing, as well as recruiting countries were essential parts of how collaboration across borders was organized.
