This text is intended to provide general guidelines on the measurement and evaluation procedures for the vibration of hull girder and superstructure, local structures, main propulsion machinery and shafting, other machinery and equipment. This chapter covers overall procedures for acquiring, processing, and presenting data collected during sea trials based on ISO 4867 and SNAME T and R No. 2–29.
