Getting to the Heart of the Matter
摘要
A patient describes how she had been to multiple hospitals in the last week to try to get help for her shortness of breath. However, when she eventually talked to a physician during each of those visits, they did not seem to take her complaint seriously. On examination, the patient had a life-threatening problem that needed emergent cardiac surgery. In this narrative, both learner and teacher grapple with the care the patient received.
