摘要

Postoperative care is essential during primary cleft rhinoplasty and guarantees the long-term outcomes. Observed complications after nose repair are associated with deficiencies in this type of care. Interdisciplinary management is needed, and the family’s involvement in this process is the key point for ensuring that all indications are followed as should be. Important topics to be considered during this time are wound care, feeding, scar care, and nasal stents. The use of postoperative nasal conformers remains controversial because of a lack of high-level evidence to demonstrating their effectiveness; however, they are commonly used by surgeons worldwide after primary cleft rhinoplasty. Different types and forms of these devices exist. Our experience in postoperative management of primary cleft rhinoplasty is described in detail in this chapter.
