The New Hybrid

This chapter introduces the concept of the new a human–computer hybrid, an approach to designing and delivering learning in collaboration with generative AI. It argues that this shift requires an evolution in our thinking about technology, from mere digital enhancement to a system that utilises the multiple intelligences in the AI ecosystem. It suggests frameworks for educators to rethink their approach to designing learning, which addresses not simply disciplinary expertise but the emerging area of human + AI content intelligence.
