Enabling Communication Technologies for Internet of Things
摘要
The IoT is a transformative technology that connects devices and sensors to the Internet, enabling them to collect and exchange data, make informed decisions, and automate processes. Communication technologies facilitate seamless connectivity and data transfer between IoT devices. Key communication protocols in IoT include MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, CoAP, Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN, and NB-IoT (Pongle and Chavan in Int. J. Comput. Appl. 121:1–9, 2015). The significance of communication technologies in IoT is that they enable data exchange, interoperability, scalability, efficiency, security, real-time communication, and remote management. Interoperable communication solutions bridge gaps between devices, allowing devices from diverse manufacturers to work seamlessly together.
