EU-LAC: Region to Region
摘要
This chapter examines the progression of the dialogues between the European Union and Latin America, specifically focusing on the bi-regional summits. Three different areas of interaction are explained. The first involves acknowledgment of an international space that is distinct from other regional and interregional systems. Second is the coordination of various modalities of bi-regional contact within a broad cooperation framework. Third is the political determination to fully utilize the possibilities of a connection that seeks to establish a bi-regional strategic partnership with numerous degrees of collaboration across several domains. Also, the chapter explores the contribution of CELAC as a new interlocutor with the EU throughout the last three EU-Latin American summits.
