EU External Relations and Latin America

This chapter analyzes the European Union's system of external relations. The chapter also examines the involvement of EU institutions in the making of external relations with Latin America to give a comprehensive understanding of how the EU operates and the significance of the interplay between critical institutions in explaining the EU's role in global affairs. The European Union's institutional framework is unparalleled, and its decision-making process is in a permanent state of development. Latin America is a topic of discussion in four out of the seven primary EU institutions that are responsible for making crucial decisions and shaping the administration and policies of the EU.
