Ward Staff Education in the Age of Rapid Response Systems

There is growing imperative for treating clinical deterioration as a stand-alone subject in both nursing and physician education. We review the rationale for ward staff education on deterioration and specify content areas for education that when implemented should sharpen the thinking and technical skills of ward staff.
