Indoor and Outdoor Navigation for Personalised Shopping: Assisted Path to Desired Products
摘要
Purchasing products in the real world has seen increasing levels of digital support. In this article, we describe the combination of multiple research results leading to the first end-to-end smart shopping process. It involves first finding a set of suitable shops for a product or set of products through physical web search, and then navigating inside each shop through indoor navigation. The necessary technologies around multimodal input of desired products, signalling and navigation, as well as notification are described in detail with concrete technologies. This permits the assessment of cost in addition to the feasibility of implementation.
