Unveiling the Cinematic Odyssey: Netflix User Experiences, with a Spotlight on Generation Z in India
摘要
In the age of digital streaming platforms, Netflix has emerged as a dominant player in the entertainment industry. With its vast library of movies and TV shows, user-friendly interface, and personalized recommendations, Netflix has revolutionized the way people consume media (Walker et al. in Netflix leading with data: the emergence of data-driven video. Kellogg School of Management, Evanston, IL, 2017). As Netflix continues to expand its global presence, it becomes crucial to understand the experiences of its users, especially among the younger generation. Generation Z, born in the age of the internet, represents a significant portion of Netflix’s user base. This study aims to explore the cinematic odyssey of Netflix user experiences, with a specific focus on Generation Z in India. Drawing upon the fields of confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling, this research seeks to uncover key factors that influence GenerationZ users’ experiences on Netflix in India. Utilizing these statistical techniques will provide valuable insights into the preferences, behaviors, and perceptions of Generation Z users, shedding light on their interactions with Netflix. The research investigates the influence of four independent variables: Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, and Novelty, on the dependent variables of UX and customer satisfaction. Data was collected through a survey of 300 Netflix users, and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was employed to analyse the relationships between the variables. The findings reveal that while Attractiveness does not significantly impact UX or customer satisfaction, Perspicuity, Efficiency, and Novelty all exhibit significant positive relationships with both dependent variables. This suggests that GenZ users in India value a user interface that is clear, easy to navigate, and offers novel content and features. The results provide valuable insights for Netflix to enhance its UX and customer satisfaction, particularly for the GenZ demographic in India.
