The worldwide market for electric vehicles has experienced exceptional growth over the last few years. Using electric cars is an effective option for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Electric vehicles promote the widespread use of renewable energy sources, reduce the impact of ozone-depleting substances, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The Indian government has assured to address the air contamination complications in New Delhi by executing an aspiring strategy to change all light-duty consumer cars to electric power in 2030. This strategy depends on how electric vehicle fleets interact with the vehicle grid and on shared mobility. Achieving a 100% adoption rate for electric cars would require significant behavioral changes in people, like a shift in perception, charging facilities, understanding of the benefits, change in driving behavior, and financial incentives. This paper analyzes the obstacles to EV implementation in India by scrutinizing the existing literature. Secondly, study the growth of E-vehicles industries in India and explore government initiatives and plans of action for the future of India.
