Novel Systemic Therapies for Solid Tumor Brain Metastases
摘要
Surgery and radiation have historically been considered the first-line treatments for metastatic brain cancer, with systemic treatments playing a minimal role [1]. The importance of systemic treatment choice in the central nervous system (CNS) disease, however, is being increasingly recognized. The recent explosion of CNS active systemic treatments, particularly those targeting specific tumor mutations, has expanded treatment options and improved prognosis for patients with CNS metastases, most notably in lung cancer, breast cancer, and melanoma [2].
