Engineering leadership characteristics may present themselves to engineers early in life. This chapter discusses a write-up of an engineering leader written at the time he was thirteen years old. The write-up demonstrates the engineering mindset at an early age and this chapter discusses how those engineering mindset characteristics translate into engineering leadership positions later in his career. In many ways, it summarizes a key point in this book; Engineers have innate knowledge and skills that translate from early career engineering qualities to corporate leadership and business ownership. You, too, should look for those same examples and characteristics in your own career development and evolve that assessment to your current career.
