Navigation is the skill that involves the determination of position and direction of a moving object. This chapters presents basic fundamentals, classifications, and features of navigation systems. In addition, two more popular navigation system: 1. Inertial navigation system, and 2. GPS are described with more details. Some related topics such as coordinate systems, gyroscope, and filtering are reviewed in brief. In the end, the navigation system design process is presented.
