Elements of Asymptotic Analysis

Some mathematical objects cannot be explicitly expressed. For example, there are functions defined through integrals or as solutions to equations that cannot be expressed using elementary functions. However, we can still compare the behavior at the limit of such functions with that of known functions. Asymptotic analysis provides a wide range of methods for such comparisons.
