The molecular form of hydrogen can be extracted from a wide variety of resources, which include water, biomass, and fossil fuels among others [1]. In order to obtain hydrogen from these various sources, there needs to be an abundant supply of readily available energy in a nonstop state of availability. Therefore, sustainable hydrogen could be created by utilizing technologies that tap into the potential of renewable energy, such as the sun, wave sea, wind, etc. [2–4]. The pathway to the generation of environmentally friendly hydrogen is depicted in Fig. 2.1. This chapter focuses mainly on environmentally friendly methods of producing hydrogen. In the future, the primary technologies utilized to produce hydrogen will be determined by the type of raw material that is put into production: renewable resources or fossil fuels.

摘要
