Maintaining Energy System Resilience Through Adaptation
摘要
A resilient energy system is one that ensures its end users receive the energy they require at an affordable price. The available energy must also be considered acceptable, meeting certain standards. A resilient energy system is one that is energy secure. However, if an event occurs that disrupts the end user’s supply of energy or makes it unaffordable or unacceptable, and the system is unable to recover, it must adapt to its new state. In this chapter, we review the basics of energy systems and how events can change them; we then consider the different ways in which a system can adapt to its new normal.
