摘要

Employment of the coupled computational fluid dynamics and discrete element method (CFD–DEM) to the analysis of aerodynamic separation systems presents an opportunity for the deep understanding of the steps involved in the synergistic integration of CFD and DEM for the analysis and optimization of aerodynamic separation systems. This chapter describes the intricate interplay between the dynamics of the fluid flow and particulate behavior, offering an understanding of how these two methodologies converge to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and predictive capabilities of separation technologies.
