Overcoming Obstacles and Promoting Physical Activity in Vulnerable Children Through Identified Challenges and Solutions: From a HIIT Perspective
摘要
Born vulnerable, imagine growing up in disadvantaged areas with additional hurdles. Children in such populations face preexisting health disparities impacting their participation in physically demanding activities. This chapter addresses the challenges hindering their engagement in physical activity, proposing solutions. Our approach involves a tailored program—high-intensity interval training (HIIT)—integrated with behavior change theories. Implementing these in physical activity programs for disadvantaged children is crucial for positive and sustainable health outcomes. This dual strategy empowers children to overcome constraints, adopt increased physical activity, and improve overall well-being within challenging circumstances.
