The Training of Psychologists in Childcare and Protection
摘要
In Mexico, as in other parts of the world, childhood is considered a fundamental period in the life of an individual. However, unlike other countries, in this country, there are various cultural and social factors that frame the education and upbringing of children and adolescents and that do not favor child well-being, such as poverty; lack of access to social security, food, health services, and basic services in the home; and lack of quality and limitations in the educational field. In addition to the above, there is an average of high mortality, teenage pregnancies, violence, migration, work, and child marriage, among others. Child welfare is a responsibility that families, the community, and educational and government institutions must assume. For this, it is necessary to favor collaboration networks that broaden horizons and expand frames of reference, stimulate creativity, and inspire new strategies and good practices for childcare and protection.
