A Model of Flexibility of Administrative Documents Used in Technologies for Entry of Documents into a Computer

A classification of flexible documents to be entered into a computer is proposed. The features of creation, digitization, and analysis of rigid forms and rigid documents are considered in detail. The limits of applicability of the model for linking images of rigid documents distorted during digitization are described. The model for linking flexible documents is considered. The flexible document linking model is based on recognized words and graphical primitives. Reference elements of flexible documents are connected by a set of order relations. An example of a descriptor for linking flexible document fields is given. Four classes of flexible documents are proposed: conditionally rigid documents, flexible documents produced by one form, and flexible documents produced by a small and large number of forms. The classification is based on the different ways in which administrative documents are prepared for printing. The variability of the fonts used, the replacement of words in the static text of the form, and the addition and removal of words in the static text of the form are taken into account. The case is considered when the number of applied forms is too large or unknown. The method can be applied in modern CAD systems to analyze the content of recognized textual files.
