Mathematical Modeling of Electrolysis Technology for Hydrogen Production and Process Control
摘要
The chapter discusses the finding of an analysis conducted on global trends in the development of hydrogen production technologies from 2010 to 2038. The analysis draws upon the database of the International Energy Agency published in October 2022, which provides comprehensive open-source information on 990 hydrogen projects in 60 countries. The results of the analysis confirm a consistent trend towards the widespread implementation of non-electrolysis projects in large-scale industrial production, although electrolysis remains the most commonly utilized method for hydrogen generation. The chapter outlines the stages involved in developing a simulation model of electrolysis technology based on empirical relationships and implemented in MATLAB. Additionally, a concept of a cyber-physical control system for hydrogen production is presented, which includes the use of a digital twin based on the developed model.
