Using the Future for Greater Security

This chapter examines the relationship between anticipation and security based on the assumption that the approach provided by future studies in particular Futures literacy (Miller in Transforming the future (open access). Routledge, London, https://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000264644 , 2018, 2020) could provide new perspectives on how to approach (human) security. It stems both from my practice of foresight, in particular the animation of futures literacy laboratories, but also from my personal experience as a woman of mixed race and steeped in Francophone culture.
