An Experimental Characterization of Almaty Ankle Exoskeleton

This paper presents an experimental validation of the Almaty Ankle Exoskeleton, a novel design aimed at enhancing ankle joint support and stability. The exoskeleton incorporates key components and functionalities, featuring a lightweight and durable frame to ensure comfort and reliability during leg usage. The paper details a test layout, providing a comprehensive description of the primary components and electronic design of the control unit. Test results are discussed for a characterization of operation performance, including measurements of dorsiflexion, plantar flexion, inversion, and eversion. The work demonstrates the prototype's feasibility and efficiency in aiding during various ankle movements, laying the groundwork for further research and development in the field of ankle exoskeletons.
