A problem solution approach that integrates these three elements captures key considerations that you will need to develop robust, quantitative decision-making processes and solutions. Several models that were developed using this approach are discussed in this section. These examples include studies that were conducted while working as a consultant and patents that were developed while working at a Fortune 100 company. Additional study references are also provided. These examples provide a general description of the problem, the data used in the model, the quantitative methods employed in the process and the decision-making techniques and are intended to show how this process works together to support quantitative decision making.
