Influence of Sustainable Human Resource Practices on Employee Retention

Employee retention significantly impacts production, morale, and overall organizational effectiveness; it is a crucial concern for businesses in all sectors of the economy. The value of sustainable human resource (HR) practices in promoting employee commitment and engagement has gained more attention in recent years. To support the organization’s overall sustainability goals, prioritize employee well-being, and foster a positive work–life balance, sustainable HR practices encompass a variety of initiatives. The purpose of this study is to clarify the connection between sustainable HR practices and employee retention by taking into account variables like employee wellness initiatives, flexible work schedules, and career development opportunities. The study also examines how gender influences this relationship as a mediator, highlighting the significance of specific HR practices. The research results provide significant perspectives for public sector organizations that aim to improve their HR tactics and cultivate a climate of sustained employee involvement and dedication. In the end, this study advances knowledge about the beneficial effects that sustainable HR practices can have on organizational performance and employee retention in the public sector.
