The Influence of Mother’s Role in Strengthening Millennial Perceptions of Gender Intelligence

The development of information and communication technology is a challenge for the millennial generation in terms of gender (men and women). The trend of gender balance and inequality has become an interesting issue in the era of globalization and industry 4.0 related to the gender intelligence of the millennial generation, which is formed through the role of mothers in the family. The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between the millennial generation’s perceptions of gender intelligence (men and/or women), which is moderated by the role of the mother. This research used purposive random sampling from the millennial generation in North Jakarta aged 17–34 years. The research sample consisted of 157 respondents with a Likert scale of 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree), which was distributed via Google Form. The data were processed using SPSS 24. The research results show that perceptions influence the gender intelligence of the millennial generation positively and significantly. The results of these two studies prove that the mother’s role is able to positively moderate and significantly strengthen the influence of perceptions influencing the gender intelligence of the millennial generation.
