摘要

This study examines the exploration on Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). It pools the important features of EAP researched from two decades (2003–2023). The research queries about the issues faced by employees in an organization: organizational indicators of EAP implementation and the potential outcomes of EAP implementation. In view of the results from the research questions, an innovative framework is developed. This framework enlightens the purpose of EAP implementation. The systematic literature review (SLR) in this research followed the procedures provided by Barbara Kitchenham. The research questions were framed based on the significant aspects of EAP. The academic social network resources were used for identifying the primary studies. Based on objectives, research papers were investigated online using the keywords. Data were extracted from the primary studies by reviewing the analysis, results, and discussion presented. The review identified the issues faced by employees in organizations: the common organizational indicators with regard to the EAP implementation and the positive consequences on the implementation of EAP in organizations. While the SLR has delivered valuable insights, it is important to acknowledge some limitations. The findings are based on existing research, which can be associated with publication bias. The quality and rigor of the included studies can vary. Only the positive outcomes of EAP Implementation are addressed.
