Coda

The book offers a wide range of approaches and contexts from which an understanding of compassion and a praxis of compassion emerges for higher education. This coda does not attempt to synthesise, which is the work done in the concluding chapter, but views the work from a slightly different vista. In drawing from the ethos of the chapters, the coda will offer further insights into the nurturing of compassion as a proactive, purposeful and constitutive part of an ethic of caring compassion.
