Aligning CSR across SAARC Nations: A Comparative, Sector-focused, Long-term Analysis

The study evaluated CSR practices in SAARC countries through diverse methodologies like yearly reports, interviews, and longitudinal studies, uncovering sector-specific trends. Afghanistan emphasized positivity, Bangladesh focused on environmental disclosure, and Bhutan integrated CSR as both ethical and legal. Telecom and hospitality industries showed positive impacts. Longitudinal analyses revealed evolving CSR in Afghanistan and diverse environmental disclosure in India, stressing the need for tailored strategies and better regulations. The research suggests adapting CSR to national contexts, prioritizing positivity, environmental disclosure, and ethical-legal integration for impactful societal change in the SAARC region.
