Green Investment Mindset: Exploring the Nexus between Perception towards Socially Responsible Investments and Willingness to Invest

Green investing, a facet of socially responsible investing, directs investments toward companies championing or producing environmentally friendly goods and practices. Such investments not only aim to generate financial returns but also contribute to positive environmental impact. Green investments are pivotal in transitioning to a sustainable economy, securing a healthier future for society and the planet. This exploratory research investigates the intricate relationship between investors’ perceptions towards socially responsible investments (SRI) and their willingness to invest (WTI). The study employs a research design focused on exploring and understanding the underlying dynamics through a regression analysis. With a sample size of 220 participants, the research aims to shed light on the factors influencing investors’ WTI. Hypotheses are tested using regression analysis, where in results show predictive impact of Attitude towards SRI and Subjective Norm does not reach statistical significance, the roles of Environment Values and Perceived SRI Performance emerge as noteworthy factors influencing Willingness to Invest. These findings encourage researchers to contextualize their implications within the broader study objectives, guiding future investigations or informing decision-making processes.
