I didn’t Fight the Law, We All Won: Autonomous Vehicles and Compliance with the Rules of the Road
摘要
Automated vehicles with high levels of automation have become increasingly common on public roads. Vehicles operating in these environments continuously encounter members of the public and may be designed to consider the laws of the jurisdictions that they operate in. The term “rules of the road” represent both the specific laws governing driving behavior in a specific jurisdiction as well as the larger set of driving behavior expectations by stakeholders. This session discussed potential and real applications and challenges presented by the topic of AV compliance with rules of the road.
