Exploiting Internet of Things and AI-Enabled for Real-Time Decision Support in Precision Farming Practices

Plant cultivation is studied, practiced, and regulated in the field of agriculture, which has a millennium-long history. Its origins are varied, having arisen independently in different parts of the world under the impact of topography and climate. Unlike traditional foraging and gathering, agriculture has shown to be able to significantly increase the number of people on the planet. Precision farming (PF) has become more popular in the twenty-first century, which has increased agricultural output. Precision agriculture (PA) is a technology-based method that examines, monitors, and evaluates the unique needs of crops and areas. Unlike traditional farming methods, the main objective of this approach is to increase agricultural yields and profitability through precise input management. This study explores the whole development and use of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) in modern agriculture. Modern applications are mostly dependent on AI and IoT technologies, which propel agricultural technology advancement. Accuracy and profitability in agricultural operations are increased when AI and IoT are integrated into modern agriculture.
