In the backdrop of growing emphasis on corporate sustainability in the global business landscape, this study delves into the intricate nexus between sustainability practices and financial performance, with a focus on China’s burgeoning economy and its implications for companies listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets. Environmental performance, governance standards, social responsibility efforts, and investment in renewable energy are the key pillars of business sustainability explored in this inquiry. By examining the mediating role of corporate sustainability disclosure, the study elucidates how effective communication of ESG endeavors can amplify their positive impact on financial outcomes.
