Understanding Financial Management Behaviors: The Influence of Locus of Control, Lifestyle, Financial Literacy, and Financial Attitudes Among University Students

This study aims to examine the impact of locus of control, lifestyle, financial literacy, and financial attitudes on the financial management behavior of university students. The population used was university students in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The study included a sample of 281 respondents who were picked using a non-probability selection methodology called purposive sampling. The analysis tool employed was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) utilizing the SmartPLS3 software. The investigation revealed that locus of control, lifestyle, financial literacy, and financial attitudes substantially impact university students’ financial management behavior.
