PAWN: Progressive Web Apps Wrapped Natively

In an era where mobile app ecosystems are thriving, users face a growing challenge: app fatigue. This paper addresses the pervasive issue with a novel solution: Native Progressive-Web-App (PWA) Wrappers. The concept reimagines android-mobile user interfaces by introducing category-specific native wrappers which intend to serve as streamlined gateways to a variety of PWAs, designed to represent popular categories like food delivery, shopping, and many more. By housing these PWAs within unified, user-friendly interfaces, users can easily access, pin, or remove apps, all without cluttering their devices’ app menus or consuming excessive storage.
