Type Synthesis and Kinematic Analysis of a 4R1H Screw-Lever Linkage

摘要

This article considers type synthesis and kinematic analysis of a 4R1H screw-lever linkage. This linkage combines a planar four-bar 1-DOF inverted slider-crank part and a screw one-bar 0-DOF part. Such a design allows the linkage to reproduce screw motion with curvilinear axis. This spatial motion is reproduced by the output link, when all other links have planar motion. The article provides the solution of kinematic investigation that includes position, velocity, and acceleration analysis. CAD modelling verified the obtained results of the analytical kinematics. The presented linkage might be used for robotic mechanisms in machinery manufacturing.
