The Laboratory Diagnosis of Calcium, Phosphorus, and Magnesium Disorders
摘要
Disorders of mineral metabolism (calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium) are common. Normal homeostatic regulatory mechanisms target three organ systems (intestines, kidneys, and bone) in the maintenance of serum, intracellular, and bone mineral content. Parathyroid hormone, 1, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D (calcitriol), and calcitonin are important in maintaining homeostasis, and knowledge of how they interact in doing so is important.
