The Laboratory Diagnosis of Lipid Disorders
摘要
Most (53%) United States adults are affected by some type of lipid abnormality, many having elevations of the low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease (Toth et al., J Clin Lipidol 6:325–330, 2012). Knowledge of laboratory testing for the dyslipidemias (both familial and acquired) is important in the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders.
