Industrial Environmental Technologies for River Cleaning

摘要

Technogenic products produced at oil refineries are often called sludge. Novokuibyshevsk Petrochemical Company Joint Stock Company (JSC NPC) is one of the most important polluters of the Samara river (Russia). The greatest threat to the environment is dust and sludge, which are dispersed by wind during storage. Among the most important wastes of JSC NPC are dead catalysts (IM-2201), a significant amount of which in the form of dry dust-like catalyst and sludge are generated at various installations and are still almost unused and are dumped. The authors shows that the use of sludge waste in the production of porous aggregate contributes to the production of products with high physical and mechanical properties and utilisation of industrial waste. Innovative proposals for the presented technology have been developed for the production of porous aggregates, the novelty of which is confirmed by a patent of the Russian Federation. The aim of this study is reduction of anthropogenic load on water resources due to the use of sludge waste (spent nanotechnogenic catalyst IM-2201) in the production of porous aggregates based on liquid glass.
