Digital Trends in Engineering Education Under Modern Conditions

We often hear about modern economic and social trends, as well as actively implemented scientific and technical innovations in our everyday life. Significant changes are observed in almost all areas every year, and engineering education is no exception from this stream of constant innovations. Current educational trends are determined by a principle of the greatest efficiency in the shortest period of time. In addition, learning is presented as a process that should not be very tiring but have an entertaining content. The fact that not all educational innovations are applicable and bring real benefits could become apparent only in a few years. Education is a really flexible system with a huge potential for changes. This became especially obvious when Covid-19 challenged the whole world. A sufficient number of new approaches in education, implemented on various digital platforms, have quickly appeared. The authors of the study aimed to analyze and highlight the most relevant trends in engineering education that have already approved themselves in the scientific community and have real prospects for the next few years.
