Current Trends in the Development of Russian Oil Industry Enterprises: Regional Profile

In this work, the authors investigate current trends in the activities of Russian oil industry enterprises in 2022–2023, taking into account the influence of global trends. An analysis of the financial results of the world's largest public oil and gas companies was carried out. The main problems of the oil industry from the imposed sanctions and the need to find new partners with a focus on Asia are highlighted. A systematization of new trends in the development of oil industry enterprises was carried out in relation to actual changes in the global economic model of production activity. The trends of the leading companies of the Volga Federal District of the Russian Federation in terms of oil production and financial indicators («Rosneft», «Tatneft» and «Lukoil») are considered. General trends in the domestic market and in friendly countries have been identified as the most favorable strategies for the development of the oil and gas business. The work presents additional measures to support the Russian oil industry from the state in terms of developing logistics capabilities, increasing the availability of credit resources and insurance services, supporting deep processing projects and developing domestic oilfield services technologies.
