Ensuring Technological Safety of Timber Industry Enterprises

This contribution addresses the critical challenge of ensuring the technological safety in the forestry industry, an industry that faces increasing integration of advanced technologies. As operating environment changes, the forestry industry faces unprecedented challenges requiring robust security measures. By exploring the intersection of traditional practices with new technologies, the author highlights the vulnerability of forest products. Drawing on case studies and industry best practices, the work provides practical advice and recommendations for forestry industry participants to strengthen their technology infrastructure. Enterprises in the timber industry are faced with a problem of updating their fleet of equipment with new machines and components for them. The author conducts an economic assessment of the feasibility of introducing new production equipment at PJSC Segezha. In a rapidly evolving technology landscape, this research makes a timely contribution to the forest industry protection debate, providing businesses with a roadmap to overcome challenges while ensuring maximum process safety.
