Reasonable Consumption as a Factor of Sustainable Socio-economic Development
摘要
The contribution is devoted to the issues of reasonable consumption, which is a factor in the sustainable development of the global socio-economic sphere. Smart consumption contributes to the rational use of resources and reduces the burden on the environment. This determines the relevance of the development of theoretical and methodological issues in the field of «smart» consumption. The study of the phenomenon of «smart consumption» made it possible to define it as a complex and multidimensional category, determined by a significant number of factors. Currently, there is a significant gap between the conceptual requirement for reasonable (responsible) consumption and the need for such behavior that has not been formed in society. This work reflects provisions for assessing the degree of influence of the components of the «consumer – producer – state» circuit on the formation of the optimal level of consumption. On the part of the «consumer», the movement toward a level of reasonable consumption represents a long evolutionary process, complicated by the multidirectional influence of a large number of different factors. The «manufacturer» cannot provide a solution to this problem, since there are no appropriate economic incentives for it. It has been determined that the system of government regulation measures can have the most prompt and effective impact on the formation of the required level of rational consumption. The provisions of this research have a theoretical and methodological orientation in solving issues related to the sustainable development of socio-economic systems.
