Global Value Chains as a Way of Innovative Development of an Enterprise

In the contribution, the author raises a question regarding the potential role of global value chains for the innovative development of enterprises that participate in them. Issues of innovative development are among the key ones when analyzing the competitiveness of an enterprise, and global value chains have already proven themselves to be an effective mechanism for business development. All this confirms the relevance of the study. In this regard, the author put forward a hypothesis that the participation of an enterprise in the global value chain can act as a way of its innovative development. The research purpose is to study a relationship between objectives of the innovative development strategy and stages of a global value chain. The research methods include analysis and synthesis, comparison and deduction. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the hypothesis is confirmed. This is due to both the results of the analysis of scientific materials on the considered topic and the author’s own research.
