Development of Cottage Construction

The development of the construction sector is a key factor in economic development. Therefore, the issues of construction and construction production management are extremely relevant and significant. In recent decades, cottage construction has been actively developing, this is justified by several factors, among which the key role is played by the comfort of living outside the city and the possibility of remote work. The coronavirus pandemic has also increased the attractiveness of suburban real estate. The work examines the competitiveness of cottage villages. The authors identify key factors and, based on their scoring, construct a competitiveness polygon, which makes it possible to clearly demonstrate the weak and strong competitive positions of the objects under study. Based on an analysis of key success factors, identification of strengths and weaknesses, and research of opportunities and threats, the authors provide recommendations for improving the competitive position of the cottage villages under study. On the positional field, the authors built a trajectory of movement from the current to the desired position. Recommendations and measures to correct the weaknesses of the research object are given. The practical significance of the study is to expand the tools for analyzing and assessing the competitiveness of the research object: the use of the SWOT matrix, the use of graphical positioning methods, which makes it possible to ensure the complexity and clarity of the analysis results.
