摘要

In the modern world, within the context of current global climate change, sustainable development is not only necessary but also the only viable path for societal progress. Given the rapid growth of modern cities, where the number of automobiles on the streets increases every year, it becomes evident that urban planning needs to be reevaluated in alignment with the principles of sustainable mobility. In large cities, automobile exhaust emissions release hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of pollutants and greenhouse gases annually, causing significant harm to the environment and public health. In this regard, the development of electric transportation, particularly electric vehicles, represents an environmentally friendly and efficient alternative to contemporary transportation. This article examines the current situation of automotive transportation in Russia and the level of damage caused by emissions from internal combustion engine vehicles. Additionally, the article explores the fundamental aspects of sustainable development and sustainable mobility concepts, as well as measures to implement sustainable mobility in modern cities. It analyzes the current state of the electric vehicle industry in Russia and globally, and discusses measures to intensify the development of this industry in our country.
