The Conceptual Content of Cybersecurity Ecosystems: A Professional Language Perspective

The article is devoted to the consideration of the features of metaphorical concepts in the ecosystem of “cybercrime” based on media texts. The concept of cybercrime is defined as a complex, integrated entity covering a wide range of criminal activities inherent in crimes in the real world, reflecting the global nature of this phenomenon and the necessary means to confront and combat it. The cognitive frame model of the concept “cybercrime” is presented and analyzed, as well as methods and mechanisms of linguistic representation of its metaphorical components. The results of the study give a clear idea of how the metaphor shapes our cognitive perception of the virtual world of cybercrime, the perception of technical achievements, helps to interact with them, overcome the problem of the impalpability and invisibility of the Internet, correlates our physical experience with the virtual, familiar with an unusual view of the world, forming a “digital space”.
