Outcomes-Based Clinical Transfusion Medicine Education
摘要
Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is a learner-centered, performance-focused approach that organizes the educational framework around predefined objectives students are anticipated to attain during their academic journey. Instead of emphasizing the educational process, OBE prioritizes the end results of education, encompassing clear, measurable outcomes related to knowledge, skills, or attitudes. This chapter delves into the essence of OBE, dissecting its core principles, benefits, and its integration into curriculum and course design. Specifically, the critical alignment between outcomes and assessment is explored. A deeper examination into OBE’s relevance to transfusion medicine education follows, highlighting its connection to student aspirations, career progression, quality patient care, professionalism, and competency.
